Fashion Illustration – ‘Decay’ exhibition

‘Trash Dress’ is a handmade collage created for the ‘Decay’ Exhibition with the Rise Collective at Arch, Hanoi – Vietnam.

This artwork’s aim is to be a discussion starter about the positive and negative aspects of the fashion industry. It wants to provoke the viewer to stimulate some questions and making him/her think about the issues and downsides of the fashion industry, but also it wants to highlight the progression and the positive aspect of it.

In the artwork, the mountain of garbage – created with cut-outs from magazines, recycled textile, and waste material – becomes also the dress of the main figure. Can you see the good and bad in this?
